Hans Vitzthum
Director of Research
Mr. Vitzhum has over 30 years of experience in institutional sales, research management, equity capital markets, and investor relations. Throughout his career, he has overseen more than 100 healthcare IPOs and follow-on offerings. In 2024, Hans joined JonesTrading, taking on the role of overseeing business development with a focus on building momentum to drive greater value for clients and partners. Prior to this, he served as a Managing Director/Partner at LifeSci Partners and as Managing Directory at Lazard Capital Markets.
Soumit Roy PhD
Managing Director Healthcare Analyst
Soumit Roy, PhD covers Biotechnology companies within the Healthcare sector. Soumit’s focus is on disruptive technology with specialization in oncology, notably T cell therapy, targeted medicines, and next generation immuno-oncology. Before joining JonesTrading, Dr. Roy was a Senior Research Associate at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, covering small- and mid-cap biotechnology companies. He was a post-doctoral fellow in the Clinical Immunology Department at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. He earned his PhD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. He holds Master’s degrees in Developmental Biology and Biochemistry, and has published in the highest rated scientific journals.
